Accessibility Statement
We want every visitor to be able to browse our sarees comfortably, whatever device or assistive technology they use.
Annapoorneshwari Silks and Sarees (AP Silk) aims to follow widely accepted good practice for web accessibility, guided by the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA as a working standard.
What we have done
- Semantic HTML structure with a single main heading per page and landmark regions.
- A “Skip to content” link for keyboard and screen-reader users.
- Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images; decorative art is hidden from screen readers.
- Buttons and links with clear, descriptive labels, including the WhatsApp and call actions.
- Visible focus states so keyboard users can see where they are.
- Full keyboard navigation, including the menu and the cookie preferences panel.
- Colour combinations chosen for readable contrast in both light and dark appearance.
- Responsive, resizable text that reflows from small phones to large screens.
Known limitations
Some content is supplied by third parties — most notably the Google Maps frame on the Visit Us page — and we do not control its accessibility. Where an embed may be difficult to use, we provide a text address and a direct directions link as an alternative.
